Roles in the District

Nobility

Nobility is a role open to only a select few.  These will primarily be roles serving just under Lady Helena or possibly other members of the Onderonian nobility.  These roles will be limited by storytellers, and will be for experienced role-players only.  Your character will be restricted to certain surnames originating from the lore of the Onderon Nobility.

Military

This will be a role open to all troopers serving within the Onderonian and Republic military.  They will be responsible for defending the city from attacks, settling riots, and keeping order in general.  They will be under direct control of the Onderon nobility and must follow their orders above all others.  They will keep a command structure, and currently leadership spots are available.  There are all kinds of military groups that can join the District.  Republic Troopers, Onderonian Military, and Paladins of House Kira.

Mandalorians

Mandalorians have recently been hired by Lady Helena due to her respect of their battle prowess.  She has cleared out a sector of the Western District and given it over to their jurisdiction.  In return, they police most of the Western District's most dangerous areas.  The Mandalorians make good candidates for the Western district due to the close proximity of their Dxun moon, as well as the challenging beasts that often break through the damaged walls of the city to harass the populace.

Jedi

Lady Helena, like her predecessors,  has begged and pleaded with the Senate for funds to support the Western District of Iziz, but the Republic has done next to nothing to help.  Now, due to the war with the Empire, the Republic focuses on repairing the damages of nearly every other world, leaving Onderon to fend for itself.  Lady Helena has now turned to splinter orders of the Jedi to help her damaged district.

Sith

Desperate times call for desperate measures.  Lady Helena has opened the Western District of Iziz secretly, to the Sith.  The Sith Empire has made contributions to the Western District to help revitalize much of the damaged buildings.  In return, the Sith Empire is allowed to do business within the District and even establish listening posts and conduct affairs in secret, so long as they do not happen to catch the eye of the Republic.

Criminals

Iziz's Western District has become riddled with crime and gangs ever since the Exchange moved into it over three hundred years ago.  Due to the overall neglect of the district by most law enforcement officials, it has been allowed to thrive.  There is rape, murder, slavery, theft, and gang activity that occurs daily.  Now that Lady Helena has taken over the district, she has been cracking down on a lot of the illegal activity there.  However, her primary interest is overthrowing the King to take back the throne of Onderon.  Since this is the case, business of mutual benefit, illegal or not, can be bribed out of the noble house of Kira.

Entrepreneurs

Business has been thriving in the Western District as of late.  The Lady of House Kira has had a new cantina built, along with a fight pit and a full market.  Business owners or potential owners can buy up these places and collect money and great profits off the citizens who live in the district.  Just make sure you pay your taxes, or House Kira will shut you down and seize your assets!

Beast Riders

Beast Riders are an ancient group of tribal men and women who have managed to tame the feral beasts of the Onderonian jungles to be companions and even to ride them into battle.  They were criminals exiled from the city by Freedon Nadd but now have been welcome back as citizens due to the marriage of King Oron Kira and Queen Galia.  Beast Riders often sell animals to buyers who want to restore fauna on worlds destroyed by war, and come to Iziz to make such deals.

Media

Do you love writing?  Do you have some skill with Discord formatting, in game screenshots, gif making, and moderate Graphic Design?  Please consider joining Iziz Western District's media team!  You will be an in character reporter, going around scoping the area for stories, and then broadcasting your exclusives on the Holonet (a channel in the Discord server).

Citizens

Citizens are the life force of every city, and the Western District has citizens of all walks of life!  Alien or human, the Western District is a haven for those who do not wish to be found if you can survive on the mean streets.  Plenty of jobs are available, from bartender, to cantina dancer, pit fighter, market worker, street custodian, prostitute, spice dealer, you name it!

PLEASE NOTE:  Cross-classing is only allowed WITH APPROVAL.   Mandalorians with Sith/Jedi will not be allowed under any circumstances.  Cross classing absolutely must make sense with both Star Wars lore as a history and your personal story.  For example... Count Dooku was a noble lord of Serrano and destined to be Count until he was discovered to be force sensitive and taken to the Jedi Temple to train as a Jedi.  He was forbidden from taking any title of nobility while being a Jedi.  However, after falling to the dark side, he resumed the title of Count of Serrano...yet was also a Sith Lord.  Hence the name Count Dooku.

Force sensitive Troopers would not be a thing because either sith or jedi would discover this and either train or kill them, however some force sensitive troopers may be known to exist as a special unit to hunt down force users.  Usually utilized only by the Sith.

Mandalorians believe Force users are weak and would never allow Force using Mandalorians to be a thing.  It was a thing ONE TIME with 4 jedi because Mandalorians intended to use them as cannon fodder in the Mandalorian wars. However, the jedi's minds' changed to support Mandalorians so they were considered a very strange and special unit that was NOT widely accepted or ever again repeated.  This is NOT your ticket to create a Mandalorian force user.

Sith or Jedi would never turn to crime but it is possible to be a Dark Jedi and use the force to gain riches, not much caring about power as Sith do or helping others as Jedi do.

These are just examples of what the Administration will be thinking about when deciding to approve your cross-class.  All sorts of situations are very circumstantial and therefore require careful evaluation and approval by a GM.  Restrictions may be placed on your abilities when cross-classing.
