Iziz Western District Combat System

Welcome to the Iziz Western District!  In our RP environment we have three methods of combat; FFC, Dice, and PvP.  It is always the defender's choice which system they use, but for the dice system we must have a universal regulation among all our role-players for consistency!  So we came up with the Iziz Western District Combat System (IWD:CS).  This is a detailed guide explaining that combat system and what it entails, so make sure you read it and keep it handy for whenever you are engaging in dice combat!

The IWD:CS (Iziz Western District Combat System) aims to bring a TableTop-like role-play experience to the Star Wars: The Old Republic role-play community, providing an alternative to FFC (Free Form Combat) and PvP. This system controls various forms of IC (In Character) interaction through a set of rules that affect not only combat but also other aspects of role-play: a list of abilities, categorized into six main characteristics, influences a character's probability of success when performing different actions—anything from slicing a terminal to seducing or intimidating another player or NPC.

By ranking up, your character will gain Skill Points which increase the scores of their Characteristics. You can split these points as you prefer. In addition, your character's Health Score will also increase. This process reflects character development and allows for unique character customization. Each character must meet the IWD:CS requirements before they can play a certain rank. You will be using this manual to determine your own rank, and then making a character sheet on the forums where you describe your character and assign your points into the six stats, then submit the sheet for approval.  Once your sheet is approved, you can begin using the dice system.  The IWD:CS system is a turn-based system that uses D20 roles via the DiceParser bot on our discord.  If you would like to get DiceParser for your own discord so that you may use the system there, you can download it here.

Credits for the basis of this system go to the creators of SW:RPG, the dice combat system used for Star Wars Role-Play in Second Life.

Characteristics

You are allowed to assign the Skill Points you have earned by ranking up your character to the Characteristics listed above. You will do this in your character sheet in the format shown in the example there.  You can assign a limited number of points to a Characteristic, depending on your rank. Skill Points are modifiers you can apply to a D20 roll.

Example: if you have a Strength score of 5 and are attempting to intimidate a target, you can roll a D20 + 5 against your target’s Willpower check. You are not allowed to change your Characteristic scores while in an IC area.

There will also be special missions and events in which admin can award you more points in addition to your rank in a certain skill area.  These special events will be announced on the forums and in the discord, and can only be hosted by Admin or GMs.
