Summary

ABILITIES

Ability points can increase with special awards from RP events AND from rank.  RP events must be carefully logged and only the guild master can award these.  Each point placed in categories will affect how effective the player is at abilities by adding modifiers to base D20 dice rolls.   For example, let's say you have 5 points in Agility and 0 points in Strength abilities.  Your opponent attempts to wrestle you to the ground, and you attempt to resist by overpowering him.  You have no points in strength and since this is a strength defense, you would roll your dice in Discord like this:  !1d20.  --- This is a roll without modifiers.  But then let's say you are trying instead to dodge the wrestling.  Dodging falls under agility, and you have +5 modifiers in agility, so your roll would look like this:  !1d20+5

Some Classes get an ability bonus just for being that class.  This bonus begins at the "Skilled" Rank and is added +1 per rank gained from there.

Nobility - Presence Bonus

Troopers/Guards/Paladins etc - Agility Bonus

Mandalorians - Strength Bonus (because of Armor)

Agents (SIS/Imperial/Onderonian) - Intelligence bonus

Smugglers/crime lords - Cunning bonus

Sith/Jedi - Willpower Bonus

If there are any questions as to which actions fall under which ability category, please contact your mentor or Helena Kira.

RANKS

Ranks must be carefully earned through role-play and activity.  Most everyone will start out as a Novice, however if it can be proven you have role-play experience and your character has been around a fairly long time, an application can be placed with the guild master to allow a higher rank suited to your experience.  All decisions on rank by the guild master ARE final and bickering over such will not be tolerated. Mentors will help guide you to higher ranks by providing training or activities meant to hone skills in your chosen abilities.  For example if you are a Mandalorian and log many hours at a shooting range or hunt alongside your mentor with blasters, you will gain rank but also earn points toward agility.  It is expected to use common sense with role-play here.  Do not put your points into Agility if you earned your rank fighting with a blade or a lightsaber.  You would put them into strength.  All questions regarding rank can be directed to Helena Kira
